The 2010 Northern Football League season will see the introduction of a Top Five finals series in Division 1. The new structure will see an extra final played with both Semi Finals now played on the same weekend.      
ABOUT THE CLUB
Welcome to the Greensborough Football Club website.
The club was founded in 1905 and has established a proud history since that time.
In 1922 the club became affiliated with the Diamond Valley Football League (DVFL) and were premiers in their inaugural year. To date the club has won 16 A grade premierships and been runners up on 14 occasions.
PRACTICE MATCHES
Practice Matches are planned with Oak Park, Lower Plenty & Whittlesea. Due to the availability of grounds the dates are yet to be finalised. Confirmed dates will be posted when available.


SUPPORTER GROUPS

The 200 Club was established to raise additional funds for player incentive payments and to purchase necessary equipment for the club. Please contact Mark Howard.

The 500 Club will be a new intiative in 2010 and will raise funds for specific projects around the club. This will include a new gymnasium and other GFC club improvements. Members of the club will receive:
  • 2010 Foothall Club Membership
  • 500 Club Polo Shirt
  • Invitation to GFC luncheon

VOLUNTEERS - MATCH DAYS
Volunteers are sought to assist on game days. Any level of pariticipation would be gratefully accepted. Tasks include:
HOME GAMES
  • Put up goal post padding 9.00am.
  • Put up sponsor banners 9.00am.
  • Put out the 2 First Aid stretchers 9.00am.
  • Check that umpire rooms are clean and drink container is full with fresh water and cups.
  • Setup can bar with stock and power up the fridge unit.
  • Fill water bottles before each game and half time for all 3 grades.
  • Timekeeper for each grade,
  • Team managers for each grade.
  • Waters Persons provide water to players during the game.
  • Umpire escort, I required for each grade.
  • lnterchange Steward, I required for each grade.
  • Sell raffle tickets during the A grade game.
  • Remove goal post padding at the end of the A Grade game.
  • Remove sponsor banners at the end of the A Grade game.
  • Bring in the 2 First Aid stretchers at the end of the A Grade game.
  • Pack up the can bar 5.00pm
AWAY GAMES
  • Fill water bottles before each game and half time for all 3 grades.
  • Timekeeper for each grade.
  • Team managers for each grade.
  • Waters Persons provide water to players during the game.
  • Umpire escort, 1 required for each grade.
  • Interchange Steward, 1 required for each grade.
